In recent years, there has been a growing appreciation of the link between diet and health and increasing demand in food and drinks companies for nutrition-related knowledge. Leatherhead has provided information on nutrition and functional foods for many years and is now undertaking panel-led research in this area. This is supported by a portfolio of skills to assist you from product concept to commercialisation.
A range of nutrition and health projects can be undertaken for clients. We have close links with key universities and also participate in a variety of UK and European-funded nutrition research programmes.
We also offer a complete range of support in relation to food allergens including a well-established rapid testing service for all the major allergens in a wide range of food matrices. In addition to analytical testing, Leatherhead also offers tailored consultancy, training and advice and a Food Allergy and Intolerance Discussion Group to help companies manage this complex area.
